I am a 25 year old artist from Chicago. My focus is photography but I also dabble in short film. I am also a singer-songwriter under the artist name PRZM.



ArtistStatement:

I make art for three main purposes: To communicate a thought; to purge an emotion; to reflect on the culture I live in. I feel that it is both empowering and humbling to empathize with each other, so I aim to discuss that which requires more than words to convey. My work is my own personal search for knowledge, strength, and spirituality. When I use myself as my subject matter, it is because I’m critiquing myself along with society. I create work that is both pleasing and disturbing to the eye, to hopefully blur the lines between the two. The world is not black and white and I want my art to embrace the grey scale. I believe that within those grey areas is where we are challenged to think differently and grow.
